防火围油栏除具有普通围油栏拦截、控制、转移溢油的特性外，还用于拦截燃烧的溢油、水面流淌火。防止火势蔓延，特别适用于油港、油码头、石油钻井平台等高防火等级敏感区域。防火围油栏还可以用于拖带溢油到合适的地点燃烧处理。
